I chose photography because it allows me to speak without interruption. In a world filled with noise, photography offers a quiet, honest way to communicate—one frame at a time. It gives me the ability to pause a moment that would otherwise pass unnoticed and turn it into something lasting. Through photography, I can observe, reflect, and respond to the world without needing to explain everything in words.

What drew me in initially was its immediacy. A photograph is created in a fraction of a second, yet it can hold layers of meaning for years. That balance between speed and depth fascinated me. Photography doesn’t require elaborate setups to be powerful; sometimes all it takes is light, timing, and awareness. I was drawn to that simplicity—the idea that beauty and truth often exist in ordinary moments.

Photography also taught me how to see. It trained my attention on small details: the way light falls across a face, the distance between two people, the quiet mood of an empty street. These details, often overlooked, carry emotional weight. As I learned to notice them, I began to understand that photography is less about creating something new and more about recognizing what already exists.

Another reason I chose photography is its honesty. Unlike other mediums that rely heavily on construction or interpretation, photography begins with reality. Even when stylized, it remains rooted in a real moment, a real place, a real presence. That connection to truth matters to me. I’m not interested in perfection—I’m interested in authenticity, in images that feel lived-in and sincere.
